The BirdSTATs tool is developed at the request of the Pan European Common Bird Monitoring Scheme (PECBMS) by Bioland Informatie. Designing and programming of the tool is funded by the European Commission through British Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
The fact that this tool is an open source database allows users to adapt or expand the tool to their own demands. The tool is also usable for other species groups.
Characteristics of the tool:
What is new in the updated version 2.1 (2015/2016):

Updated version of the BirdSTATs (including TRIM 3.54) which was released in March 2016 can be downloaded here (3.2 MB).
On-line tool is designated for the national coordinators. It enables comfortable upload of national species indices with a detailed data check. It easily helps to discover the outliers, discrepancies or wrong data files. Thanks one of the functions called “Consistency tool”, it is possible to check consistency of data for a species by comparison of two years in a graph. At the moment there is available On-line tool interface for TRIM/Birdstats outputs, but we are working on an interface for the RTRIM-shell data upload and check.
We created a commented On-line tool tutorial to speed up understanding how does On-line tool work. Because of development of On-line tool, this tutorial is planned to be regularly updated. Therefore, before you start RTRIM-shell analyses, it is worth to check the Tutorial. On-line tool is divided into 3 parts because of large size.
Date of launch: 10th June, 2019
