Soňa Nuhlíčková has been the main support in the Slovak common bird monitoring scheme. She is a Research Assistant in ecological sciences, focusing on orthopterans and birds. Her main responsibility is coordinating and communicating with volunteer fieldworkers and participating in data analysing for scientific purposes.

Jozef currently works as a bird monitoring coordinator in the Slovak Ornithological Society/BirdLife Slovakia and has been engaged in bird monitoring since 1998. He coordinated the winter waterbird census at the national level from 2000–2006 and the common bird census in Slovakia from 2005–2022. He has been the coordinator of the Bird Atlas of Slovakia since 2014.
